Week 2 Discussion: Leading as Stewardship of God’s Gifts and Resources
Open discussion to continue.
Open discussion to continue.
Scripture reminds us that we do not ultimately own what we have, God does. We are stewards of what he has entrusted to us (time, money, people, responsibilities, opportunities, influence, even our energy and health). Where is it hardest for you to live like a steward instead of an owner, and how might that mindset shift change the way you lead this week and going forward? Are there habits or practices that might help you build or maintain this change in perspective? As you read others’ posts, feel free to offer encouragement, share a practice that has helped you, or ask a thoughtful question that helps connect stewardship to real decisions.

What does loving leadership look like in your life and vocations right now? Share one situation where it feels natural to lead with love, and one where it’s harder (patience, boundaries, conflict, hard conversations, forgiveness, etc.). If you’d like, identify one relationship or habit you want to approach differently in the future. If you respond to others, aim for kindness and clarity. Encourage what is good, and if you offer a suggestion, keep it practical and respectful.

Where are you currently needing wisdom and clear judgment as a leader? Share one decision you’re facing (without confidential details) and what makes it difficult, especially when doing what is right is not the easiest path or may involve resistance. Consider naming one “decision habit” you want to strengthen for the future. As you engage others, offer perspective with humility. You can ask clarifying questions, share a principle that guides you, or suggest a next step that is both wise and fair.
